And when it comes to alternative treatments, medicinal herbs are always at the top. In many types of cancers, anti-cancer herbs are used either as a curative purpose or a supplementary medicine along with the conventional cancer therapies: chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgical therapy, and others. But be aware that the fact chemotherapy and radiation damage most of your vital organs and your immune system they tend to decrease the curative effects of alternative cancer treatments.

Why not try them if they can help? It’s not only hope for some cancer survivors who successfully get rid of their cancer by using anti-cancer herbs and foods along with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Cannabis (Hemp, Marijuana) Oil – when most hear about marijuana they only see smoking it to get high. In fact, some people even go further to attribute marijuana with crimes. The truth is that the plant has more health benefits than people would think. Cannabis has many curative compounds: delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD) and β-caryophyllene, to name a few. CBD, a neuroprotective antioxidant, accounts to about 40 percent of the plant extract. It is shown to be effectively in treatment of inflammation, anxiety, depression, nausea, convulsion, schizophrenia and many types of cancer. Although by smoking you get some THC, the best method to obtain the full health benefits of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is extracting the oil, juicing and drinking raw cannabis leaves, taking plant extracts or administering dietary supplements as pills.

While cannabis has plenty of medical compounds, psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and the nonpsychoactive cannabidiol (CBD) are the two active ingredients that show to be more effective in fighting cancer and other serious diseases. One individual who provides more vivid details about cannabis as a cancer cure is Rick Simpson. He is not a medical expert as you would expect. He is just a simple guy who has refused to die from cancer and taken matters in his own hands. As a result, he not only saves his live but the lives of hundreds of cancer victims according to many testimonials published on youtube.com. Those individuals claim they become cancer free after 3 months of using marijuana oil (cannabis oil). NOTE that hemp seed oil being sold on the market is basically free of THC. Rick Simpson has been providing people with instructions on how to make cannabis Oil medicines for about 8 years. Follow his methods to prepare yours (if you live in a state where it is legal to do so) instead of buying HEMP SEED OILs. For more information, visit youtube.com and type Cannabis Oil Cancer”.

Graviola (Soursop, Brazilian Pawpaw, Guyabano, Corossolier, Guanavana) – In recent decades, there have been several studies conducted on the effects of graviola on cancer cells. Although certain researchers believe that studies to check for the effect of Graviola on cancer cells began in the 1970, it was in the year 1976 that the National Cancer Institute performed the first ever scientific research on the anti-cancer properties of graviola. Results of those studies showed that the leaves and stems of the plant were effective in attacking and destroying malignant cells. The plant can be effectively used in the treatment of different types of cancers including colon cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer. Other studies suggest that graviola is even more effective in killing cancer cells than chemotherapy.

The Journal of Natural Products has published a study conducted at the Catholic University of South Korea in which it is declared  that certain compounds found in Graviola can selectively kill colon cancer cells at almost 'ten thousand times the potency of Adriamycin', a chemotherapy drug commonly used to treat cancer. Unlike chemotherapy which damages both healthy and cancer cells, Graviola selectively targets only cancer cells, leaving healthy cells intact, thus causing no side effects. In addition, regular consumption of soursop can improve sleep which your body needs to recover naturally.

Aloe Vera - Aloe vera can be useful in the treatment of certain cancers when diagnosed early and even cancers that do not respond to chemotherapy. The plant contains certain anti-cancer properties which work great when used in conjunction with chemotherapy. Aloe Vera helps the absorption of vitamin-C and antioxidants, and thus increases the effectiveness of anti-cancer herbs. But cancer patients undergoing the conventional treatment should be careful to not take too much Aloe Vera. Turmeric can be used as a therapeutic or preventive method of fighting cancer. Researchers have found the rate of breast cancer is lower in Asia, where turmeric is largely used in cooking. Although turmeric is a natural alternative, it is recommended to take it at normal dosage as it can cause nausea and diarrhea in certain cancer patients. Pregnant women are not recommended to take turmeric.

Camellia Sinensis(Cha) – green tea made of camellia sinensis leaves is powerful herbal cancer prevention. Originating in China, camellia sinensis, used regularly, helps to prevent almost all types of cancers, including but not limited to breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer and colon cancers. Researchers state that there is a compound in the plant called polyphenol, a type of a bioflavonoid. The most active polyphenol, named 'epigallocatechin gallate' is present in it. It also contains carotenoids, theanine, chlorophyll and proanthocyanidins which are enemies of cancer cells.

However, pregnant women, heart disease patients, and those having estrogen-dependent cancers are not recommended to take red clover flowers.

Echinacea Angustifolia – Echinacea isone of the most used herbs on the planet. It is commonly used to support the immune system to fight viruses, fatigue, infections as well as cold and flu. But this is also a powerful anti-cancer plant. Research supports not onlyechinacea's anti-inflammatory properties but also its anti-tumors properties. Echinacea shows promising anti-cancer activity against several types of cancer including leukemia and brain tumors. For a complete therapy, six months long dose is recommended. However, data suggest that echinacea is likely to interact with certain chemotherapy drugs

Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) - parsley has a form of natural oil which is called apigenin that helps to protect the body from forming new blood vessels that feed cancer cells. Depriving cancer cells from blood supply prevent them from reproducing, thus cause them to die. However, parsley is recommended during pregnancy as it may lead to premature delivery and uterine stimulation.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) – thyme is commonly used as a culinary herb for its taste. But it is also anti-tumor.
